ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the levels of antibody to pertussis toxin (PT) IgG in newborns in Shunyi Women and Children's Hospital of Beijing Children's Hospital in 2016.Methods A total of 419 newborns were enrolled in this study.Umbilical cord blood sample was collected from each subject and detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to measure the concentration of PT-IgG.Besides,all newborns were followed up to January 31,2017.Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis.Results The detectable rate of umbilical cord blood samples for PT-IgG accounted for 30.1％ (126/419).The median antibody level was ＜ 5 U/ml,and the 90th and the 95th percentile were 14.3 and 24.0 U/ml,respectively.No cases of pertussis occurred at the end of follow-up.Conclusions The newborns born in Shunyi Women and Children's Hospital of Beijing Children's Hospital are generally lack of protective PT antibody.

Objective To study the immunoregulatory activity of eucommia ulmoides oliv polysaccharides (EOP) on immunodepressive mice. Method The immunodepressive mice model was established with cyclophosphamide (CY) treated. EOP was given with different doses, and mouse weight, thymus index, spleen index, abdominal cavity macrophage engulfing rates, engulfing index were measured. Result 300 grams Eucommia ulmoides Oliv crude drugs after withdraw separate gained 9.3 grams polysaccharides. After CY injection, the mouse weight, chest gland index, abdominal cavity macrophage swallowing rate, phagocytic count reduced. EOP could resist the mouse body weight drop induced by CY, elevate the thymus index of immunity low mouse, obviously increase mouse abdominal cavity macrophage engulfing rates and engulfing index (P
ABSTRACT
Aim To establish a set of apparatus and method for the continued measurement of the oxygen consumption in mice. Methods The apparatus consists of a bottle with broad-neck for mice, basic burette, beaker containing water and some tubes for connection. Twenty mice were divided randomly into two groups and administered intragestrically propranolol 20 mg?kg -1 or equal volume of normal saline, respectively. The survival time and oxygen consumption were measured in mice subjected to normobaric and hypoxia.Results The survival time was prolonged by 43.35% (P
